Programs

At Alliance AZO we offer several programs.  While our classes are specific to a particular martial art, such as Judo, BJJ, or Muay Thai, our programs provide a specific focus for different groups.

If you have any questions related to our programs or which is best for you, please reach out to us.

Youth Classes

Our youth programs are designed for kids ages 5-12.  For our younger students, we concentrate on the development of core movements, incorporating activities and games to help them learn the simple techniques, build strength, balance, and coordination.  We work to reinforce good habits that begin at home such as supporting and respecting each other, achieving goals, and doing what is right.

As students become older, we encourage them to model good behavior, leadership, and strive to achieve excellence. With age and maturity our students are taught more complex techniques.

Teens

Finding the right fit can be difficult for teens.  We encourage our teens to find the class that feels right to them, whether it be a youth variation or adult.  We encourage our teens to start transitioning from youth classes to adult fundamentals.  When they feel ready, they can make the jump into the mixed/intermediate level classes.

Self Defense & Fundamentals

Our fundamentals programs are a great place for new martial artists.  In the fundamentals curriculum, our students will learn the basic techniques as well as the fundamental movements that are required for more complex maneuvers.

The core of martial arts is based on the techniques of self-defense. All of our fundamentals classes provide basic self-defense, such as blocking/ evading/ striking, maintaining distance, awareness of surroundings, and recovery of position.  Our BJJ Fundamentals courses focus on self-defense scenarios and are a great place for a person concerned with self-defense to begin their training.

Women’s Kickboxing (Muay Thai)

Our Women’s Only Kickboxing classes are designed to create a comfortable and empowering environment for women of all experience levels. A martial arts “gym” can often be intimidating to everyone that walks through the doors. Our goal is to provide a class that gives students the proper fundamentals, and at the same time creates a comfortable atmosphere. This class is open to women only, but is a great way to efficiently transition to all levels of Muay Thai.

Competition

Martial arts can expose fears.  It can also provide the tools for an individual to meet and conquer them.  Because of this, we consider every student a champion.  There is nothing better than competition for providing the proper stimulus for a person to strive for excellence and push themselves further than they thought was possible.

We have students in every art and age group that compete.  Our students have earned recognition on the regional, national, and world stage.  Our youth student teams have been honored with a “most respectful team award” and at the same time received the “Junior team points winner”.
